Jocelyn KUTCHER,
BScPT, GunnIMS

With a gift for seeing the subtleties of people’s movement and a strong passion for teaching others how to improve their bodies, Jocelyn is well known for her honest and detailed approach to treatment.

Jocelyn believes directing treatment at the root cause of dysfunction is the key to success and this often requires looking beyond the area of pain to find what’s driving the issue.  Her years of training in the Connect TherapyTM Model and Thoracic Ring ApproachTM has given her a platform to determine each person’s driver.

Since graduating in 2005, Jocelyn has avidly pursued further education in concussion management, persistent pain, advanced manual therapy techniques (level 3), and became a certified Gunn IMS practitioner in 2012. She jumps at every opportunity to take another course and most recently she’s updating on persistent concussion, c-section rehab, non-operative ACL rehab & diagnosing running injuries.

Jocelyn has a special interest in treating shoulders, thoracic spine, feet, concussion and postpartum women, but ultimately treats the body as a whole.  As a former internationally competitive ski racer she owns a wealth of athletic knowledge and understands the complexities of returning to sport following an injury. These days she stays active biking, skiing and chasing her 2 young boys.

Prue HICKS,
BAppScPT

In 1989 Prue traveled to Revelstoke for a three month locum and loved the community so much that she stayed!

Prue has over 25 years of clinical experience combined with regular participation in continuing education in the fields of:

  • orthopedics
  • sports injuries
  • pain neuroscience
  • women’s health
  • vestibular rehabilitation and
  • concussion management

Prue’s clinical focus is to see the patient as little as possible, empowering them through education and self help strategies.  She works closely with each individual to develop specific goals and uses a combination of graded exposure to problem movements as well as the principles of exercise to ensure her patients become strong, confident and resilient.

Prue strives to implement current research findings into everyday clinical practice.  She also enjoys being a clinical educator for UBC Physiotherapy students.

Revelstoke has been a wonderful environment to raise two active sons and participate in outdoor activities with her husband and friends.

Marie-Claude LAROUCHE,
MPT

After receiving her Masters of Physical Therapy degree from McGill University in 2019, Marie-Claude decided to move to British Columbia to start her career as a physiotherapist.

Since graduating, she continues to diversify her skills through ongoing education and is now one of Revelstoke’s most highly trained vestibular rehabilitation physio’s. She has certifications to treat pelvic floor dysfunction as well.

When Marie-Claude is helping people recover from their sport injuries her treatment approaches include manual therapy, functional and motor control exercise prescription, and postural education. Most importantly, she strongly believes that encouraging her patients to play an active role in their rehabilitation process is the key to success.

When she isn’t working, you will probably find her running around town with her dog – or whatever activity she can do with her furry friend: mountain biking, skiing, hiking, camping… She loves to discover the great outdoors that Revelstoke has to offer!

Justin PHILIPS,
MPT, B.Kin (Hons)

Justin began his career in rehabilitation and fitness across Canada, New Zealand, and Australia in 2009 as a Personal Trainer and Kinesiologist. He graduated with honors from Brock University’s Bachelor of Kinesiology program in 2010, meanwhile also earning his CAN-FIT-PRO Personal Trainer Specialist certification.

Justin furthered his education by completing UBC’s Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2021. Post-grad, Justin has completed the Orthopaedic Division’s AIM level 1 course and the Complete Concussion Management course for Physical Therapists with plans for further orthopedic training and needling courses.

Since graduation he has worked in Kelowna and Whistler gaining experience working with ICBC and WorkSafeBC patients as well as recreational and professional mountain sport athletes including skiers/snowboarders, mountain bikers, and rock climbers.

His approach to physiotherapy prioritizes active rehabilitation, education, and manual therapy tailored to individual needs, empowering clients to reach their rehabilitation and performance goals.

Justin grew up immersed in many sports including hockey, rugby, snowboarding, skateboarding, and mountain biking, getting firsthand experience with injuries.

Now in Revelstoke, you’ll find Justin rock climbing and exploring the mountains on his snowboard, splitboard, or mountain bike, followed by a well-earned craft beer.

Justin understands how to treat injuries arising from playing hard in the mountains and how important it is for you to get back to doing what you love most and he’s committed to guiding and helping you along your way.

Drew HUTCHISON,

Drew, a former athlete turned weekend warrior, brings over 7 years of clinical experience in orthopedics and concussion management.

Known for his empathy and commitment, he’s enjoyed working with world class Canadian marathon runners, Olympic athletes in ski, bobsleigh and skeleton disciplines as well as amateur athletes specializing in triathlon, downhill and cross country mountain biking.

Believing that a multifaceted approach to recovery often yields the fastest recovery, Drew thrives on helping patients adapt behaviors and modify training for a successful, injury-free return to sport. His goal is to ensure that, if done correctly, his patients won’t return for management of the same injury. Drawing from personal experience as a former varsity swimmer and volleyball player, Drew aims to make a lasting impact on the lives of those he works with.

Drew supports his patients through their journey of recovery as quickly as is safe to do. Outside the clinic, he stays active with mountain biking, skiing, sledding, and chasing after his kids.

Sophie KEPINSKI,
Pilates Instructor

Sophie fulfilled her long-term dream of becoming a Pilates instructor in the summer of 2022, completing both the Stott Merrithew Pilates Intensive Mat and Reformer courses. The following year, she obtained her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in June 2023. Sophie strives to create a supportive and inclusive environment where people of all levels can thrive.

Sophie first tried Pilates at the age of fourteen and quickly fell in love with group fitness classes. Pilates and mind-body movement have been a very important part of Sophie’s routine, as it has helped her stay in shape for the physical demands of her sports and active lifestyle. She admires that Pilates not only focuses on strength, but mobility, balance, alignment, and coordination.

Born and raised downtown Toronto, Sophie moved to Revelstoke in 2018 “for one snowboard season,” but was quickly captivated by the active outdoor culture and close-knit community and never left.

Her goal is to inspire others to embrace the transformative power of Pilates and mind-body movement for a healthier, more balanced life.
